Physical Security

The purpose of physical security is to protect an organization’s information, people, assets, and reputation. Common and often overlapping areas of physical security include property and facility security, fire and rescue safety, physical information security, and personnel security.

Typical methods for implementing physical security include physical assessments and audits, security technology systems, structural intrusion protection, as well as guarding and monitoring services.

HKL in Brief

Metro and tram services are the most environmentally friendly modes of transport in the Helsinki metropolitan area, as they run on electricity generated from wind and hydropower. We have also invested in new, energy-efficient rolling stock for both metro and tram services. In addition, city cycling is a zero-emission, sustainable form of mobility that complements public transport.

HKL employs around one thousand public transport professionals. They operate trams and metro trains, manage traffic in control centers, maintain vehicles, tracks and facilities, plan and implement new projects, and work in various supervisory and administrative roles.
